《ぬぁ》は東京・北千住周辺地域のためにつくられた、足立智美によるサイト・スペシフィックな音楽作品です。北千住、荒川と隅田川に挟まれた地域にこのアプリがインストールされたスマートフォンを持って行ってみてください。イヤフォンかヘッドフォンがあるといいでしょう。このアプリが示すポイントにさまざまな音が仕込まれています。そのポイントに近づくと音が聞こえ始め、近づくと大きくなり、遠ざかると小さくなります。いくつかのエリアには沢山のポイントがあり、さまざまな音が混ざって聞こえます。聴く位置によってその音の混ざり方は変化します。
東武伊勢崎線及び京成本線に乗るともう少し広い範囲で音の変化を聴くことができるでしょう。
2011年の足立市場での《ぬぉ》に始まり、この地域では足立智美による大勢の人たちを巻き込んだサイト・スペシフィックな音楽パフォーマンスが繰り広げられてきました。10年目の5作目にあたるこの《ぬぁ》では新しい録音に過去の作品を混ぜあわせ、北千住全体に仮想の音の地図を拡げてみました。いくつかのポイントは少し行きにくいかもしれません。実は地図に表示されない隠しポイントもあります。探してみてください。
これはまず千住地域のために作曲されましたが、遠いところに住んでいる人のために、同じ音源でベルリン（中央駅、トレプトウアー公園及び環状線）、モスクワ（赤の広場からアルバート通りを経由してモスクワ川）、ニューヨーク（ウォール街、バッテリー公園、エリス島）及び南極点でも作動するようにしました。違った場所で聴けばまた違った体験ができるでしょう。
"Nua" is a site-specific musical work by Tomomi Adachi, composed for Kita-Senju area in Tokyo. Take your smartphone with this app to Kita-Senju, the area between the Arakawa and Sumida Rivers. Good quality earbuds or headphones are recommended. Various sounds are embedded in the points indicated in the app. You get closer to the point, the sound gets louder, if you leave the point, it becomes softer. There are many sound points in some small areas, and you will hear a mixture of different sounds. Depending on where you listen, the balance among sounds will change.
If you take the Tobu-Isesaki Line or the Keisei Line, you will be able to hear changing sounds over a larger area.
Started with "NUo" at Adachi Fish Market in 2011, Tomomi Adachi's site-specific musical performances involving numerous people have been held in this area. In "NUa", the fifth work in the 10th year of the project, the composer mixed new recordings with past works to create a virtual sound map on Kitasenju. Some of the points may be a bit difficult to reach. In fact, there are hidden spots that are not displayed on the map. Please try to find them.
It was composed primarily for the Senju area, but for those who live far away, you are able to listen to the same sound sources in Berlin, Moscow, New York and the South Pole. If you listen to them in different places, your experience will be different.

パフォーマー/作曲家/音響詩人。声、コンピュータ、自作楽器によるソロ演奏を始め幅広い領域で活動し、非音楽家との大規模なアンサンブルのプロジェクトもおこなう。作品には自作のフィジカル・インターフェイス、ツイッター、人工知能から人工衛星、テレパシー、骨折までを用い、テート・モダン、ポンピドゥー・センター、ベルリン芸術アカデミーなどで公演。DAADより2012年ベルリン滞在作曲家としてドイツに招聘。2019年アルス・エレクトロニカの Award of Distinction を受賞。
Tomomi Adachi is a performer/composer, sound poet, instrument builder and visual artist. Known for his versatile style, he has performed his own voice and electronics pieces, sound poetry, improvised music and contemporary music, also presented site-specific compositions, compositions for classical ensembles, choir pieces for untrained musicians in all over the world including Tate Modern, Maerzmusik, Hamburger Bahnhof Museum, Centre Pompidou and Poesiefestival Berlin. He was a guest of the Artists-in-Berlin Program of the DAAD for 2012. He received the Award of Distinction from Ars Electronica 2019.
